Partners

There are over 100 public, private and civil society partners in the Grasslands Programme.

The partners below are playing a key role in the implementation of the first five year phase of the Grasslands Programme.

Govt_SA___lo_res.jpg The Grasslands Programme is a national initiative under the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT).
Provincial environmental departments in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, the Free State, North West, Eastern Cape and Gauteng are responsible for environmental initiatives at a provincial level.
Other key national departments are the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF) and the national Department of Agriculture (DoA).

DWAF Free State office – responsible for implementation of the river ecosystem demonstration project in the Free State
  Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife – responsible for stewardship in KZN

The Eastern Cape Department for Economic Affairs, Environment and Tourism (EC DEAET) and Eastern Cape Parks Board (ECPB) – responsible for stewardship in the E Cape

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) – responsible for stewardship in Mpumalanga
